  • Author marketing services

 Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on this website, including text, graphics, branding, logos, images and downloadable materials, is the property of The Heritage Publishers Limited and is protected by copyright law. 

No material may be copied, reproduced, distributed or republished without our prior written permission. 

 Author Copyright

Authors retain full copyright ownership of their original works unless otherwise agreed in writing. 

By submitting a manuscript, you confirm that: 

  • you own the copyright; or 
  • you have obtained all necessary permissions to publish the material. 

The Heritage Publishers does not claim ownership of your manuscript. 

 Publishing Services

Our publishing services are provided in accordance with an individual quotation or publishing agreement. 

Services may include: 

  • Editing 
  • Formatting 
  • Cover design 
  • ISBN assignment 
  • Print setup 
  • eBook conversion 
  • Distribution assistance 
  • Audiobook production 

Each project is unique, and the scope of work will be confirmed before work begins. 

 Payments

Fees are payable in accordance with the quotation or invoice provided. 

Unless otherwise agreed: 

  • deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced; 
  • staged payments must be paid before the relevant stage begins; 
  • final files will not be released until all invoices have been settled. 

Late payments may delay project completion. 

 Royalties

Where The Heritage Publishers manages publication on behalf of an author, royalty arrangements will be set out in the publishing agreement. 

Royalty payments, where applicable, will normally be accompanied by a sales report. 

 Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that: 

  • submitted work is original; 
  • facts are accurate; 
  • permissions have been obtained for third-party material; 
  • copyright has not been infringed; 
  • manuscript files are complete before production begins. 

The Heritage Publishers accepts no responsibility for legal claims arising from content supplied by an author. 

 Proof Approval

Authors are responsible for carefully reviewing all proofs before publication. 

Publication will proceed once written approval has been received. 

Changes requested after final approval may incur additional charges. 

 Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The Heritage Publishers supports the responsible use of AI-assisted writing tools. 

Authors should disclose where AI has been used to generate or substantially develop manuscript content. 

Regardless of any AI assistance, the author remains fully responsible for: 

  • originality; 
  • factual accuracy; 
  • copyright compliance; 
  • legal compliance. 

 Marketing

Unless expressly agreed in writing, publication does not include ongoing marketing or promotion. 

Marketing packages may be purchased separately. 

Publication does not guarantee: 

  • book sales; 
  • bestseller status; 
  • media coverage; 
  • commercial success. 

 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Heritage Publishers shall not be liable for: 

  • loss of profits; 
  • loss of sales; 
  • indirect losses; 
  • consequential damages; 
  • delays caused by third-party suppliers; 
  • platform outages or technical failures. 

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the relevant service. 

 Third-Party Platforms

Books may be distributed through third-party platforms including, but not limited to: 

  • Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) 
  • IngramSpark 
  • Draft2Digital 
  • Audible 
  • Apple Books 
  • Kobo 

The Heritage Publishers is not responsible for changes made by these platforms, including pricing policies, royalties, distribution availability or technical requirements. 

 Website Use

You agree not to: 

  • misuse this website; 
  • introduce viruses or malicious software; 
  • attempt unauthorised access to our systems; 
  • interfere with website functionality. 

We reserve the right to suspend access where misuse is suspected. 

 Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. 

 Cancellation

Publishing projects may be cancelled before work begins. 

Once work has commenced, fees already incurred remain payable. 

Completed services are non-refundable. 

 Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. 

The latest version will always be available on this website. 

 Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. 

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
